Project Dates:
2004

Project Leads

Interpretive signs were installed along the first mile of the Elk River Trail in the Headwaters Forest Reserve in Humboldt County, California.

This project entailed research, development and installation of seven interpretive signs. RCAA worked with the Bureau of Land Mangement Arcata Field Office in the development of site-appropriate natural and cultural history text and images. Interpretive topics included: old growth redwood forest ecology, historic peoples and practices, endangered bird species, biodiversity, land stewardship and salmonid habitat.
