Invasive Species Management

Project Date (Y-M-D):  
Development of an enhancement plan to partially restore tidal processes to diked-former tidelands along the eastern boundary of Humboldt Bay to restore critical estuarine-salmonid habitat while assisting ranchers in reducing the flood impacts on their pasture lands.

Project Date (Y-M-D):  
Joint effort with the City of Arcata to restore tidal function to McDaniel Slough, create freshwater wetlands for bird and wildlife habitat, and re-establish brackish marsh habitat on diked-former tidelands along the northern edge of Humboldt Bay, adding over 240 acres of habitat to the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary.
